For starters, let's not forgot baby #2. At the end of Ty's 14th month I had my 28 week Dr appt and everything is going well. Feet aren't swollen, acid reflux is random and my iron count is a bit low at 10.2, so I'm now taking iron pills in addition to my prenatals. I can tell she is growing fast because I'm able to see her movements just by watching my stomach.
Tyler had a giant breakthrough this month.....one day out of the blue he stopped being a picky eater and started to try new foods!! This is huge! On Oct 2nd at the Bartula's house Jackie fed him Macaroni and Cheese and he actually ate it by the handful. After this miraculous event he suddenly started trying all food at daycare. He NEVER would eat the main entree for lunch and now he is trying everything and eating most things. Wow does this make my life less stressful and more fun! I hope this continues.
Ty has also made new friends in the neighborhood. Our neighbors, Claire (10 yrs), Jill (10 yrs), and Maddy (7 yrs) come over once or twice a day asking.... "Can Tyler come out and play?". He loves playing on their massive swing set, and this weekend we played with bubbles and water toys. The girls are great with Tyler and will certainly make wonderful babysitters when they are a bit older. For now, they are a tad overwhelming and fight for Ty's attention. Usually he gets overwhelmed by them but still likes to run around in the backyard and play.
Last week I picked Tyler up from Daycare and he was playing with bubbles. No surprise there, but then he said the word Bubbles and I was shocked. I had NO idea he could say bubbles until the teacher said, oh he says that all the time! Great - what other words does my little man say that I have no idea about!?!?!?
On the not so exciting front, Tyler also likes to Whine...EHHHHHHHHHH!! Worst noise in the world! Also, diaper changing and putting on clothes is a giant fight. He refuses to lay on his back to get his diaper changed and instantly flips. Once he starts pull ups it'll be so much easier but until then we have our work cut out for us.
In summary, Tyler is still the sweetest little boy! He is very sensitive if you yell at him and say NO. He is getting very good at giving out kisses and is starting to get shy around meeting new people. He is down to one nap a day and for the first time EVER, slept 12 hours this past Saturday!! I love you baby Tyler, you make our lives complete!!!
