Tyler's First Birthday Party - Saturday July 10th 2010

What a great day! Tyler's friends came over to play and most of our family came into town to help celebrate. (Earl, Judy, Bridget, Wilma, Lanie, Luke, Mom, Rob, Poppa, Dan/Jackie/Ri, Ashlie/Lafe/Jillian, Chad, Pattie/Roman/Savannah)

I had a ball getting all the food ready, decorating the house and deciding what kind of smash cake to get Ty. For almost 2 hours the babies played in the new baby pool; which was a great purchase! When the babies were pooped from too much sun we went inside where most the family was relaxing and decided to sing "Happy Birthday" to Tyler and he got a kick out of it when everyone started to clap at the end. He starting clapping too! :) When it came time to eat the smash cake Ty just looked at it and then got mad and started to cry when I tried to feed it to him. Turns out he wanted nothing to do with it and so we went on to open gifts. He liked doing this but got distracted by each toy that made noise. He also thought it was funny to try and put the wrapping paper in his mouth.

Btw, he LOVES his new Radio Flyer. Thanks Grandmommy and Grandpa Rob!!!

11 Month Update

• Bottom two teeth are in
• Switched to Whole Milk and Sippy Cup (no more Bottle) just about a week before his first birthday. Transition only took 2-3 days.
• Tyler loves to dance (he bends his knees and pushes his tush out).
• Walking is now a favorite. Rarely does he crawl.
• Ty loves to feed piggy all his food, still thinks it's so funny!

11 months old - Cancun - Walking and Whole Milk!!!

CANCUN, MEXICO
We traveled to Cancun, Mexico with Grandmommy in the beginning of June. You did amazing on all 4 flights! You didn't cry once!
You got heat rash during our trip because it was sooo hot! You loved the beach shower because the shower head was low enough to the ground for you to play with, plus it is Silver! You tried to put sand in your mouth several times so we spent most of our time at the pool. I don't know why but you would only eat watermelon, melon and corn during the trip! You loved playing in the bathtub with Grandmommy and watching the water come out of the faucet. For the most part you slept good in the hotel crib but woke up earlier and earlier every morning for no reason. (6:45, 6:30, 6am, 5:30am, etc) AHHH!

FIRSTS

Tyler had two big firsts this month! He started walking Tuesday June 29th and tried Whole Milk for the first time Wednesday June 30th. Let's pray he likes the Whole Milk and we can say good-bye to formula until December!!

Ty had taken 3 steps here, 7 steps there but there wouldn't try anymore. On Tuesday he started taking 10-20 steps, would fall and then try again and again. We got a cute video of him. He was so proud of himself clapping his hands when he got excited - of course this threw him off balance and made him fall again. :)

New Fun Updates:
- Tyler loves to throw his food on the floor and watch Milton eat it. He thinks this is funny.
- New food he likes now: Grilled Cheese sandwiches, Cinnamon and Sugar Graham Crackers
- He loves to get in his crib at night, lay on his belly with his butt in the air and grab all the binkies in the crib and scoop them under his belly and lay on them! OMG this is so cute! Also, if he sees more than 1 binky, say 5 he will get so excited and put one in his mouth, suck on it, take it out, put the next one in, suck it, take it out, put the next one in, etc. He wants to try all of them before deciding on the one he wants :)
- Playing the refrigerator
- Playing in the cabinets with bowels and spoons.

- Laying on back in tub (Floating) He closes his eyes and smiles :) I have a little swimmer on my hands!!
