Tyler is working on talking! 14 1/2 months and his understanding / vocabulary is growing!
I love saying, "Tyler, can you say ____?". When I ask him this question he looks at me with an intense look as if he is thinking; mommy I know you are asking me to say something but I'm not sure yet.
After I ask him to say something he either things about it and will then try OR he will get an ornery grin on his face and laugh. :)
Words Tyler has said and spelled how he says them....
· Muma
· Dad, Dada
· Eye
· ba (bye)
· doh (dog)
· sssss (means Cat or Stryker)
· Day Doh, Day Dohhh (favorite happy phrase)
Ty knows what the following things are:
· Train (choo choo motion with arm)
· Car
· Truck
· Head
· Ear
· Teeth
· Nose
· Eyes
· Pee Pee
· Belly Button
· please (LOVES to sign please for EVERYTHING he wants to touch)
· More (love to sign more)
· Hungry (loves to sign hungry and go to his highchair)
· Pumpkin
· Lights
· Bath
· He knows the Letter "T". It's a bath time toy.
· All Done (he loves to sign All done and usually says, Day doh, day doh). One time he actually said "ahh Dun"
· Tent
· Blanket
· Books
· Binkie
· Sippy
· Dance (loves to dance when he hears the word!)

Tyler - Month 13. Baby Girl (20-24 weeks)
This month Tyler seems to be growing up quicker than ever. He is trying to talk more and loves to show off his sign language skills. He signs Please is he wants something, more to sign More and constantly signs All Done - even if he isn't. He knows he'll get a big smile out of us because we are proud he is doing it, not to mention how cute it is! The ceiling fan obsession continues and he still LOVES light switches...on, off, on, off, on, off. Still this month if he has something that he wants and it gets taken away (ie. a rock, car keys, etc) he cries for about 20-30 seconds before moving on to the next thing. He still loves fitting himself in baskets and gets in, then out, then in, then out. Ty continues to love the jumpers at daycare, he loves his basketball hoop, wagon rides, the Book, 'Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can you'.
He also recognizes when a train is going by which seems to be every 30 minutes. He is working on the hand motion "Choo Choo".
Last night when he finished dinner and signed All Done with his hands in the air, I said Ok, Tyler are you all done? And he said, "yeah. ahh dun"...Nate and I just looked at each other like, OMG he just said it!!
This month we moved into our new house and Tyler is already adjusted. He is now obsessed with making it a point to get in every bathtub he sees, even when it's not bath time and when there is no water in there.
We are still having a hard time getting Ty to get and try new foods. He is still standing true to his Puffs (all kinds), nutrigrain bars, Cheese, kidney beans, black beans, garbanzo beans, corn, all fruit, cheerios, and crackers / cookies. Last night I made mashed potatoes to see if he would take a bite and he shook his head no with his lips sealed shut. So I forced a tiny spoonful in his mouth to show him they tasted good and he just looked at me like, gross. Why did you do that? blah! Oh well, we'll keep trying.
Oh yeah this month also marks the start of the 'squeals'. Instead of grunting he now mostly squeals when he wants something.
Baby Girl Boston now has mommy weighing in 14lbs heavier with 3 1/2 months to go. She is still without an official name. Here are our current choices:
1. Kinsley Elaine Boston (Kinsie, Kins) (Nathan's favorite)
2. Avery Elaine Boston (Avie) (Nathan doesn't like b/c it's a unisex name)
3. Summer Elaine Boston (not sure if we want a season as a name)
4. Noelle Elaine Boston (Elle)
Other contenders were:
Brielle
Madison
Ella
Lexi Mae
Laci
