Month 12 came and went...

So a brief update on what happened while Tyler was 12 months old....Let's start with something fun like food. Ty loves grilled cheese one day and throws it on the ground the next day. He does this with all foods. Things have been so busy lately we haven't sat down for a family meal unless we are out to dinner. We need to change this soon. And speaking of changing soon, we are in contract on our condo and supposed to close September 1. We found a house, got a deal and are supposed to close on it September 1 assuming our condo buyer doesn't back out like the last guy did. Once we're in our new house we will make an effect to eat together. I really think it will help Tyler explore new foods.

It's so funny watching Tyler learn to walk and now he is trying to 'run in place' when he gets excited or run around the house and outside. He usually falls right away once he picks up some speed. He still loves to play 'I’m gonna get you' or chase as most people call it. I love this game b/c he only likes it if you are crawling on hands and knees to be his height. I love listening to his little giggles as he gets excited and tries to run away.

We've been going to the pool a lot more at night and Nate and Tyler love to play in the water. He loves to do superman on his belly and try to blow bubbles (making noise). He is really getting the hang on it. I've dunked him a few times and he doesn't seem to mind once he realizes he is ok. I can't have a kid that holds their nose when they jump in the water. I need a swimmer! Another favorite is walking around outside of the pool. He just likes to walk the perimeter and see what he can discover. I'm going to try and take a pool video this weekend because he is just too stickin' cute!

People continue to comment how big Tyler's hands are which Nate loves because he always says, Tyler is going to be an All American and play at Ohio State! Tyler, play whatever sport you like. In fact, one that has less risk of getting injured is preferred by me ! ;) Oh and Tyler loves his shoes. I finally found a pair (thanks WalMart!) that fits his chubby little feet. OH and I might add, there is a new obsession - light switches!! on / off, on/off, on/off..... He is the sweetest boy and is so gentle around all the other babies. He really can't get any cuter!!!!!!!

On a sadder note, Mr. Milton found a new home this month. Our neighbor is a vet tech at MedVet and a lady she works with (no husband, no kids) has 2 pugs and loves dogs. Milton is now part of their family. She takes them to work all day, they go swimming, run around the car without a cage, sleep under her bed sheets at night....all the no no's that we wouldn't let Milton do- he now can. Plus he has 2 dogs to play with. Our neighbor sees him every day at work and says he couldn't be happier. Tyler, I know you liked throwing your food on the floor every night to watch Milton eat it up - so now Stryker is trying to eat the food since Piggy is gone. Piggy will be missed my Nathan and Stryker the most; however the rest of us will miss him too. He was a part of our family for 4 years and brought a lot of funny and gross memories :)

On a lighter note, we also found out at the end of this month that we are expecting a baby girl!!! I cried when the Dr told us the news. Nate and I are so elated!!! We are so blessed to have one of each! I haven't have much time to think about this pregnancy or blog about this little girl. In fact, she would probably enjoy reading this stuff when she is older much more than Ty so I’ll try to make an effort.
