APRIL 22nd 2010 - Life is Forever Changed

We have been blessed. Today I found out I am pregnant and was shocked and excited! Here is what happend.

On my lunch I went to pick up Tyler from daycare to take him with me to see the people of WalMart :) I decided to pick up a the cheapest pregnancy test that I could find ($4). I was 5 days late and had some cramping but my period never came...Once I got back to work I instantly went in the stall and peed on the stick. Without hesitation the stick showed a: + which meant pregnant! I was shocked! I need to take another test so I snuck out of work and went back to WalMart to buy a more expensive test ($9) which came with two sticks. As soon as I got back to work I peed on the stick and after a few minutes of waiting it read: pregnant. WOW, 2 different tests from two different companies, I must really be pregnant! First thought, I need to call my Dr to make an appointment. Second thought, I need to start taking prenatal vitamins.

I decided to leave work early, pick up Tyler and go buy a tee-shirt that said Big Brother. This is how I would surprise Nate. Once we got home Nate came up to play with Tyler and didn't notice the shirt. Then he fed Ty, still nothing and then I encouraged him to change his diaper hoping he would see the GIANT letters that said: BIG BROTHER. So as Nathan was changing Ty's diaper he said out loud, "big brother" - but it didn't register. I thought, okay - he just said it out loud and doesn't get it! So then I decided to take one of my pee sticks and put it on top on Tyler as he was lying on the diaper changer. It fell off of him as I threw it on and Nathan said, what was that?? He picked it up and read it and his eyes turned red and he started to tear up. He came over to kiss me and hug me and I was like, OMG you can't leave Tyler alone on the diaper changer, he will flip off!

I used my last pee stick so Nate could watch it turn and say pregnant! 3 sticks later and they all say the same thing.

According to online due date calculators this baby birthday will fall somewhere between Christmas and New Year's. I am approximately 4 weeks prego and go into the Dr April 30th for my first round of tests.
